There are three ways to manage your NDIS funding: self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA (agency) managed. Each option offers a different level of responsibility, flexibility, and support, and you can also combine these across different parts of your plan.
In this session we will:
- explain how each option works, including who pays providers and manages financial records
- support you to understand which option may best suit your needs and goals, and how these decisions are discussed during your plan meeting
- outline the factors considered when determining how funding is managed, while reinforcing that you maintain choice and control over your plan, regardless of the option selected.

This session is designed for NDIS participants, carers, families, and kin, as well as supporting services such as advocacy organisations, peer support networks, and carers’ groups.
We also encourage mainstream services that support people with disability including health, education, housing, and community services to attend.
It is not intended for providers.
