Support Worker—Western Sydney (Casual/Contract)

Contract length: 3–12 months
Expected hours: 10–40 per week

In 2018, we evolved into a respected Disabilities Service Provider, focusing on Support Work, Group Programs, and Employment Supports. Our multicultural team works with participants of all ages and backgrounds, providing client-centred services that build both independence and future foundations.


Key Responsibilities

As a contractor with DSS, you’ll support clients throughout Sydney’s western suburbs, delivering compassionate care through a wide range of services including:

  • Daily Activities/Self-Care Assistance

  • Social and Community Participation

  • Domestic Support

  • Overnight Care (Inactive)

  • School Pick-Up and Drop-Off

  • Companionship

  • Group Program Facilitation

  • Other tasks as required


Experience (Preferred but not essential—training provided):

  • PEG/Enteral Feeding

  • Seizure Management

  • Understanding of NDIS policies and procedures (e.g., incident reporting)

  • Meal Preparation

  • Home Hygiene Maintenance

  • Working with both children (7+) and adults


Must-Have Requirements

To hit the ground running, you’ll need the following:

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)

  • Police Clearance

  • Valid Driver’s Licence

  • Own reliable and safe vehicle

  • Comprehensive Car Insurance (if transporting clients)

  • Current ABN

  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module

  • Public Liability, Professional Indemnity & Personal Injury Insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule

  • Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or Night Shifts

  • Monday to Friday
